Our history metanomics Health was founded in 2003 and develops and utilizes metanomics' technology platform and know-how.  metanomics has been pioneering metabolite profiling in the area of plant biotechnology and is the acknowledged industry leader in this field. Since 1998 metanomics has invested over € 30 million in its technology platform and has built an extensive expertise based on more than 600.000 broad range metabolome analyses and bioinformatics interpretations from a wide range of organisms. A team of 90 international staff to date have discovered several thousand new metabolic gene functions and created a wealth of information on complex biochemical networks and its regulation in response to effectors.Our management Tim Bölke is a trained physician and joined the healthcare industry in 1988. Since then he held various research and management positions at pharmaceutical companies including Boehringer Mannheim, Roche, Knoll, Abbott and Boots. In 2003 he joined the Care Chemicals Division of BASF and in February, 2009, was appointed Managing Director of metanomics Health. Arno J. Krotzky who is concurrently Managing Director of metanomics GmbH is a trained biologist and chemist. He worked in academia in Australia, India and the US before joining the biotech industry. He was responsible for starting up metanomics Health (2003) and metanomics (1998). Before joining metanomics Arno Krotzky worked for more than 10 years for BASF SE in several positions in research in Germany and in the US. |
